His Presence is with Us
March 3 – 9
Scripture: “But now, this is what the Lord says— he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1
Devotional: As a child, I remember hearing a story about a little boy who was often frightened and would wake up afraid due to the darkness in his room. The next morning his father reassured his son that he was not alone; that God was with him. The little boy responded to his dad and said, “Daddy, I need a God with skin on.” Like that little boy, sometimes you and I need reassurance, but we are reminded in the scriptures that we are created in His image and His likeness. Thus, we are not alone, and His presence is always with us!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are our Rock and You are our Redeemer; You are our shelter in times of a storm; in times of trouble and tribulation; God, thank you for loving us despite us; even when we often fall short of your will and your ways, You continue to shower us with Your grace and mercy. Now Lord, touch our hearts and our minds to know that You are with us; for we know that You have our backs and help us not to take that for granted, in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord, Amen!
Reflection Question: How do you respond when you feel a sense of loneliness?

When I feel a sense of loneliness, I remind myself that God is always with me. He is ever present.

That even tho I can’t see or fell God He promised to never leave me or forsaken me so I trust God’s word and promise.
