He Covers My Debt
He Covers My Debt
April 21-27
“However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.” Romans 4:5
Devotional: The days of receiving a paper check from your employer are a thing of the past. Most of us, if not all of us have direct deposit in which we receive our wages sent to our banking institution. However, on a few rare occasions, maybe the deposit of our wages did not arrive at the proper time, thus we may be overdrawn, or you may receive a notice of having insufficient funds. Usually, we must hurry to transfer money from our savings to our checking to cover the losses. Isn’t it amazing that we don’t have to worry about that when it comes to God’s goodness and His grace that hovers over our lives? He covers us when we are overdrawn and inadequate in holiness, faith, and righteousness. As written on all our currency, we all need to recognize, and our focus should be on Him; “In God We Trust.”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you and give you praise for making daily deposits in our lives. We would be spiritually bankrupt if it was not for your abiding presence and security that you provide for us as benefactors of your grace. We glorify you and we pray that we will never take you and your love for granted. Instill in us a will to give thanks to you in all things and remind us that you have given us the greatest gift ever in your Son and the sustaining power of the Holy Spirit! We love you but we thank you for loving us, in His name Jesus Christ, who is our rock we pray, Amen and Amen!!!
Reflection Question: How often do you check your spiritual bank account and are you overdrawn at this time?
