Scouting Ministry

The Purpose of the Scouting Ministry

At TCWW, we empower Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Wild Explorers to unearth their unique strengths, passions, and talents. Through our programs, they not only discover their potential but also acquire essential skills to conquer challenges and make wise life decisions. Our primary mission is to furnish our girls and boys with a robust platform to transform the world through enriching and positive experiences.

Who We Are

Our structure is set through national program criteria. We operate in age-level units called troops and packs. Our Girl Scout programs are for girls only and consist of the following:

  • Daisys - Kindergarten and 1st grade
  • Brownies - 2nd and 3rd grades
  • Juniors - 4th and 5th grades
  • Cadettes - 6th, 7th, and 8th grades
  • Seniors - 9th and 10th grades
  • Ambassadors - 11th and 12th grades

We have 2 boy-only programs, Boys Scouts and Wild Explorers. Boy Scouts consist of the following:

  • Cub Scouts - 1st to 5th grades
  • Boy Scouts - 6th to 12th grades
  • Wild Explorers - 1st to 12th grades

Our Girl Scout troops are under the jurisdiction of the Girl Scout San Jacinto Council (GSSJC) located at 3110 Southwest Frwy (Hwy 59), Houston, TX 77098.

Our Cub Scout packs are under the jurisdiction of the Sam Houston Area Council (SHAC) located at 2225 North Loop West, Houston, TX 77008

Our Wild Explorers are part of the National Wild Explores Club.

All programs are led by 80+ adult volunteers who have embraced the purpose of our organizations. Adult-to-child ratios are strictly enforced!

What We Learn

Our curriculum program is formatted by our jurisdiction organizations.  Our volunteer leaders use field trips, workshops, and other outside resources and tools to enhance program implementation.
