At The Church Without Walls, our heartfelt mission is to bring men and women into a personal and life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. We equip believers, enrich lives, evangelize, and engage in missions. There are 3 ways to Become a Member of the Church Without Walls

  2. Respond to the Invitation during any in-person worship experience, bible study, or event

This class is tailored for individuals exploring joining The Church Without Walls. Please note that attending this class doesn't bind you to membership. Instead, it offers a window into what The Church Without Walls stands for. You'll gain insight into our beliefs, engage in fellowship, and have a chance to get your questions answered. At the end of class, should you feel the Holy Spirit lead you, you'll have the option to become a member. Whatever your decision, we welcome your curiosity and the chance to share our journey.

How do I become a member of The Church Without Walls?

In a church service or Bible study, you will be asked to walk to the front and someone will meet you and walk with you. To join online complete the membership form. You will receive a call or email with additional information.

Do I have to be a member to be active in a ministry?

If you want to attend any ministry event, in general, you do not have to be a member to participate. If you want to serve in a ministry or be in the leadership of the ministry where you help plan and execute different events, then yes, you should be an active member or watch-care member to participate.

What do I do if my address changes

If your address changes, you can have it updated by one of the following methods:

  • You may call The Church Without Walls at 281-649-6800 and the Receptionist will take the update over the phone or you may leave a message with the new data.
  • Log in to ShelbyNext Membership and update your address.
  • You may also email and include the updated information.
In most large churches people do not connect, how can I connect at TCWW?
  1. When you respond to the invitation during worship, you will meet 1-3 members of the church on our Decision Time team.
  2. A member of the New Members ministry will contact you.
  3. In the Firm Foundation classes, you will be introduced to other new members who have recently joined the church.
  4. As you get connected to a ministry, you will be introduced to other members of the church.
  5. When you join a Small Group Bible Study, you will meet other members.
If I am only going to be in Houston for a few years (college, job relocation, etc.) should I join the church under Watch Care?

Yes, if you do not plan to make the Houston area your permanent home, then yes, we do recommend that you join under Watch Care; if you do plan to make the Houston area your home, then you should join as a regular member of the TCWW family.

At what point is membership consider inactive and how do I reactivate it?

An inactive member does not attend services or financially support The Church Without Walls Ministry for 18 months or greater and/or when correspondence is returned for an unsatisfactory address. The membership profile can be adjusted by providing an up-to-date mailing address, regular service attendance, and consistent financial support.
