#WeServe

Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian organization. Our mission is founded on the conviction that every family should have the opportunity to own a basic, decent home in which to live in dignity and safety. We partner with the community and families to create affordable housing and help develop responsible homeowners and successful neighborhoods.

Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County was established in 1989 by 12 area churches as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International.  We are a non-profit 501-c-3, faith based, volunteer driven organization dedicated to eliminating sub-standard housing.  We are one of eight Habitat affiliates in metropolitan Houston.

Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity Northwest Harris County is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.  Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. Habitat NWHC does not give homes away; we partner with families looking for a ‘hand-up’ and help them build their new home.
