Dear Church Family,
I am grateful that we are entering our new capital stewardship campaign – “Our Journey”. With the success of this capital stewardship campaign, our ministries will grow, our congregation and the community will be blessed, and God will be glorified.
Our Campaign’s prevailing theme is “Not Equal in Giving, But Equal in Sacrifice.” This theme challenges us to do the extraordinary, to give “over and above” sacrificially for the next three years. The theme reminds us that we can all have an equal part in the Lord’s work.
Our Journey provides all of us the opportunity to know in a fresh way the blessings which come through giving. Jesus said, “Give, and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over … ” (Luke 6:38)
I earnestly believe that we, the people of The Church Without Walls, are ready for the great challenge which this capital stewardship campaign offers. Let us each enter into this great effort prayerfully and enthusiastically.
OUR JOURNEY – Co-Directors
The Prayer Principles of The Church Without Walls
PERSISTENCE IN PRAYER…
We practice the Power of Prayer,
The purpose of Prayer, and
The Privilege of Prayer.
History has recorded that:
The Power of Prayer has opened the Red Sea,
Closed the mouths of lions,
Quenched flames and set captives free.
The Purpose of Prayer is that:
God’s desires may be demonstrated on earth.
That when we pray God’s will shall be done.
The Privilege of Prayer:
Jesus says to ask and it shall be given,
Seek and we shall find, knock and
The door will be opened.
Remember when we pray,
Prayers go up to heaven in Worship,
Out in the world in work and
Down to Hell in warfare.

8 Weeks of Prayer Campaign
Thank you for joining with us for our 8 Weeks of Prayer Campaign! Throughout this campaign, you will see the Lord move in your life as well as in the life of our church!
During this 8 Weeks of Prayer Campaign, we will focus on 8 corporate desires for our church. To support your time of prayer, this booklet contains a verse for the week and a suggested prayer for you to follow. Through prayer and supplication, “Our Journey” will be a testament to the obedience of God’s church. We are confident that your prayers will undergird our church family through this journey.
Through faith, we believe that as our obedience grows, this “Our Journey” Capital Stewardship Campaign will have a fruitful destination.
We are anticipating the miracles of answered prayer in our ministries and in the growth of our church as we embrace “Our Journey”.
WEEK 1- AUGUST 4TH
PASTOR WEST & HIS FAMILY
“The elder who direct affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching.”
1 Timothy 5:17 (NIV)
Eternal God, our Father, we thank you for our Pastor, Ralph Douglas West, who is the shepherd of our flock, a preacher, a teacher, and a visionary. What a gift to the body of Christ and we thank you for him and his family and ask your continued blessings upon them. Continue to lead him and continue to help us to follow him. Continue to guide him and enable us to support him. Continue to keep him in your care. Amen!
WEEK 2 – AUGUST 11TH
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen”
2 Peter 3:18 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, our desire is to love you with our whole heart. Our desire is to follow you. Our desire is to be an instrument for you! In order for us to love, follow, and be used by you, we must avail ourselves to grow in you. Lord, help us to put away the things that keep us from moving in your direction and concentrate on you. Amen!
WEEK 3 – AUGUST 18TH
REGULAR CHURCH ATTENDANCE
”And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10: 24-25 (NIV)
Heavenly Father, we come into your house to give you honor and praise. Each Sunday, we expect a mighty encounter with you. As we come into this place, we ask your blessing upon your people. Put a hunger in our minds through your spirit to come to church regularly and consistently. We will give you authentic worship through singing songs, reading scriptures, and praying prayers. Lord, renew our spirits to give total allegiance to you each and every Sunday. We will be ever grateful to give you all the glory and praise! Amen!
WEEK 4 – AUGUST 25TH
OBEYING THE WILL OF GOD
“The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.”
1 John 2:17 (NIV)
Merciful God, give us the desire to do your will in our lives by obeying your Word. For your Word is “a lamp unto our feet and a light for our path”. Grant us understanding to know things that are seen are temporary and things that are unseen are eternal. Transform us by renewing our minds so we can discern what is good, perfect, and acceptable in your sight. Allow us, by your grace and mercy, to do our Master’s will, in Jesus name. Amen!
WEEK 5 – SEPTEMBER 1ST
COMMITMENT TO CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28: 19-20 (NIV)
Father, you have given the church a great assignment: to be committed workers in your vineyard. God forgive us for the many times we have fallen short in sharing Jesus Christ with the unchurched and the unsaved. Forgive us for not sharing your story of love and eternal life with others. Now Lord, open our hearts and our eyes to recognize those that may yearn to follow your Son, Jesus Christ. Keep us ever prepared to lead others to salvation. Move us to carry out what you have left for us to do. Amen!
WEEK 6 – SEPTEMBER 8TH
SERVING IN MINISTRY
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10
God, you have equipped each one of us with a gift that we should use to build and edify your kingdom. Grant us the courage to step up and use our gifts in ministry. Touch our hearts so we will realize that praising you goes far beyond the pews. Move our feet into action. Implant in us a spirit of servitude. There is so much to be done and so few to get it accomplished. Make us to know that we should follow the example set by your Son, the ultimate servant, Jesus Christ. Amen!
WEEK 7 – SEPTEMBER 15TH
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
Colossians 3:13 (NIV)
Father, teach us to forgive each other as you have forgiven us. Allow us to let go and allow you to enter our hearts to move beyond what we are feeling and recognize that we can forgive because of your grace and your mercy, in Jesus name. Amen!
WEEK 8 – SEPTEMBER 22ND
“But since you excel in everything – in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you – see that you also excel in this grace of giving.”
2 Corinthians 8:7 (NIV)
Lord, we come now asking your blessing upon our finances. Father, bless your people who are in difficult situations. And, Lord, encourage those whom you have blessed with resources to give as you have instructed in your Word about giving. Rekindle in us a spirit of giving. Bless now we pray. Amen!
