Living On the Overflow of God’s Love
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Devotional: My friends, life can be so challenging, especially in times of uncertainty and when the familiar is not readily available for us as Christians. However, for some strange reason, we are able to continue to press forward even when it seems that our backs are against the wall because we have the assurance of God’s compassion for us. In fact, His reassurance enables us to know that God has given us access to Him through the power of the Holy Spirit and we can and we will make it through!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Our God, we thank you for being our hope, being our joy, and being our peace, in the midst of so much pain, so much suffering. Lord, help us to truly be changing agents for a world that truly needs to see your love and compassion every day; thank you for giving us everything that we need to make a difference in society and in our community, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen!
Reflection Questions: If you don’t feel the love of God right now, what should be your next move?
However, for some strange reason, we’re able to continue to press forward even when it seems that our backs are against the wall because we have the assurance of God’s compassion for us. This portion of the word really resonates with me, there were many instances where my back has been up against the wall more times that I’d like to remember. God reminds me of Psalms 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; YET have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread. I’m comforted to know regardless of where I am in life God is there as well. I Love how God doesn’t force his will on us but allows us to make mistakes which I believe were designed to fire up a desire in our spirits to give us a hunger to run back to God, as we say in Project Management (Lessons Learned). I’m reminded it’s the strength of God that allows us to move from the wall that he may get the GLORY. Thanks for this devotion PAS
This allows me to look back and reflect on God’s grace and mercy which is new everyday and how he’s always delivered me and brought me THROUGH and if he did it before he can do it again.
It allows my spiritual growth in him and to let me know to continue to hold on to GOD’S unchanging hand and to stand on HIS promises and know without a shadow of a doubt that if I cast out his word , HIS word will not return void. This allows me to keep my soul anchored in the Lord and to trust and obey along with the anointing of the holy spirit that refreshes me everyday to endure to trust to walk to pray and stay on the battle field for the ongoing of GOD’S KINGDOM and to know that he loves me unconditionally and that I’m his child and I’m never, no never alone.
God continues to show me, Evers so, the love that He has for me. Every desire, concern, worry, whatever the days challenges might be, He let’s me know, I AM HERE, you are not alone. HE is so amazing!!!!!
