Good In The Midst Of Evil
Scripture: “You meant evil for evil but God meant it for good.” Genesis 50:20
Devotional: During these days of so much social unrest, so much crime in our city and community, and still living with this pandemic, we must remind ourselves that our God still reigns, God is sovereign, and God really is still in control regardless of the times in which we are living right now! Thus, you and I must trust Him and do our part to make this world a better place by loving and displaying the character of Christ in those around us in this present age!
Prayer: My Father and my God, thank you for being so good to each and every one of us by sparing our lives with your grace and mercy! Now Lord, enable us to love one another as You have called us to do so if we are truly your disciples. We ask afresh today that you will fill us with your presence whereby we can make a difference in society so that those we may encounter may see You in us, in the name of Jesus Christ, our example of love we pray, Amen and Amen!
Reflection Questions: Do you ever get tired of trying to do good with so much evilness around us? Secondly, what do you do to combat evil around you?
Excellent devotional
This prayer resonated with me because it reminded me that the only Jesus that some people might ever see is in us. We must live in a way that exemplifies His love so that we can draw people to Him.
I just keep praying and continue to remind myself in my daily prayer that God is still in control in which we are living right now in the name of Jesus Christ love ❤️ I pray Amen.
Do you ever get tired of trying to do good with so much evilness around us? I never tire of attempting to good. I believe it is my mission in life to be a light in dark places. I am grateful that God choose me to allow His light to shine through. My daily prayer is that God send someone my way that I may be a blessing to. However, sometimes I wonder if what I do is truly making a difference. Sometimes I pray that God sends someone my way to be a blessing to me. Sometimes I feel like a ship sailing through this life alone. It is in those times that I pray a little harder and the Holy Spirit fills me with comfort. It is in those times that God sends one of His servants to come along side me and offer a word or encouragement, or a prayer for peace, strength, and blessings. I am grateful for salvation and all of the blessings that are attached to salvation: health, peace, joy, comfort, prosperity, strength for the journey, love, compassion, and forgiveness of sins. God is faithful.
