October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Church Without Walls and Mosaic Women’s Ministry would like to help promote awareness and prevention of domestic violence. During Amazing Women’s Weekend 2020, First Lady Sheretta West interviewed our very own Dr. Conte Terrell, one the nations most sought after domestic violence recovery experts. Watch the video below as Dr. Conte shares with us her insight and expertise on domestic violence.

Here are the book studies being offered for the 2017 Session:

  • Set Apart by Jennifer Dean
    • In this six-week Bible study through the Beatitudes, author Jennifer Kennedy Dean examines the promise of blessedness in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount. Unlike a circumstance-driven emotion such as happiness, blessedness is eternal and grounded in the reality of Christ in you. You are able to live in the state of blessedness that God has created for you when you discover the key to true holiness—a call to freedom and joy. We were made for holiness, and this core concept of the Beatitudes is accessed through a praying life—a life lived in the present-tense power of God. It is only when we continually pursue holiness that blessedness comes, and we discover the power and fulfillment of the promise of God.
  • Order My Steps Volume II by Sheretta West
    • The closer you walk with God; He will graciously reveal more of Himself to you. Your heart will open to receive His loving guidance and each new day His presence will be reflected in your life. As the Good Shepherd leads you on new paths and deeper into His Word, you will learn to trust Him more and rely on Him solely to order your daily steps. It is a beautiful walk of faith. Place your confidence in God and enjoy the journey!
