Safe Travel Along Life’s Highway
Scripture: “The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.”– Dueteronomy 2:7
Devotional: Have you ever found yourself traveling somewhere and instead of following the map or the GPS, you decide to go another way because it seems to be a shortcut to your destination? Finally, you do arrive there but instead, you actually end up being late because of the conditions of the road that you decided to take on the shortcut. Sometimes this is exactly what the journey of life feels like. However, even when we want to go our own route and not follow His divine compass, the Word of God, many times we still have safe arrival because of God’s grace and mercy!
Prayer: Father thank you for laying out the roadmap for our lives in your Holy Word! We pray that You will instill in us the importance of following you and not just leaning on what we can see, feel, or touch. For You O God assures us that if we trust You, we are in a far better place because You know what is down the highways and bi-ways of our existence; so enable us to allow You to take the wheel on this journey right now and lead us to our ultimate destination, which is in Christ Jesus we pray, Amen and Amen!
