Death Surrounded Me but God’s Mercy Stepped In
Scripture: “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” Titus 2:11-14
Devotional: God knows how to step into your situation just at the right time. The Lord is not far from the brokenhearted nor is he slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness. The Lord said in 1 Peter 5:10 “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
Prayer: Gracious God, Death has surrounded many of your people but your Mercy has stepped in to have compassion on them. We thank you Lord for your Mercy because it’s your Mercy that stretches far beyond our transgressions. Lord thank you for being a God who keeps no records of our wrongs, and for loving us unconditionally. Father we ask in the name of Jesus for you to revive our Spirit, and heal our broken hearts. God we believe you can make all things new again. Lord you said in Psalm 119:107 “I am severely afflicted give me life, O Lord, according to your word!” In Jesus name we pray amen.
