Being Thankful in the Good and the Not So Good
Scripture: Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. In All things, tell the Lord, thank you! – I Thessalonians 5:18
Devotional: Let’s be real for moment, it’s not easy at all to give thanks in all situations and in all circumstances. In some seasons of life, being grateful can be just plain hard. Many times we find ourselves overwhelmed with life most difficult issues such as a loss of a loved one, health issues, relationship problems and yet this verse reminds us, even during this season of Thanksgiving, to be grateful and appreciative in ALL things, good or bad, because God is able to work everything out for your good and my best!
Prayer: Lord God, You are so worthy of our worship and our praise; we give You a big thank you for all that You have done, doing, and is going to do in and around us! For we give You thanks because even in the best of times or even in the worst of times, Father, You are still good and Your grace and Your mercy endures forever. As we prepare our hearts and minds for another national recognition of Thanksgiving, help us to realize that if we have You, that is truly more than enough to be thankful and grateful for, in the name Jesus Christ, we pray Amen and Amen! Have a great week and Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful for God’s goodness – always! Hallelujah!
Amen, Amen!
This devotional was a blessing!! In my current season, I am enduring the loss of a family member. This devotional reminded me that in all things we should give God thanks. Even in the midst of loss! Thank you, Father, for your strength and a supportive Church!!
Amen. I will be thankful in all things.
I am overly joyous to give thanks for my Heavenly Father and to be alive to worship. Thank you church for the daily devotions. It has truly helped me to stay focus on my Lord during the Pandemic. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. Stay safe and enjoy the holiday. God bless.
