To our TCWW Family,
Marc Connelly in his play Green Pastures places the angel, Gabriel, on a top floor in a tenement building in a big city where he turns around and said, “Everything nailed down is coming loose.” Everything we’ve known to be sturdy and strong has become flimsy and feeble. Therefore, at The Church Without Walls, our leadership had to make some adjustments to re-fasten what appeared to have come loose.
Here’s a tripart of what we’re working with, first, we’ve now had to change from a physical congregation to a virtual congregation, where every worship service, bible study, and ministry engagement is now online. We are a global village scattered but connected.
Second, I want to invite you to join one of our Facebook Groups. We have groups for the entire church, for our men, women, youth, children, young adults, and small groups. Search for the groups under our official, The Church Without Walls Facebook page. Here in this virtual community, you can converse and get to know each other better.
Third, now this is the big caveat, to my younger members. After continued conversations today with the CDC, MD Anderson, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and the Greater Houston Partnership, they leaned heavily on the faith community to transmit this message specifically to our millennials. I need you to help me get the word out, the number of Coronavirus cases is rapidly increasing. so, here’s my word to you, take the personal measures by staying home and keeping your distance from people. I’m aware that God is omnipotent, still, we have the power to do something, now. Let me call your attention to the wisest man on the planet, when he said to his millennial son, “as we know, wise choices will watch over you, understanding will keep you safe.” Proverbs 2:11.
And finally, I want to say to The Church Without Walls family, thank you for assisting one another. Thank you for helping our leadership in keeping the church connected to one another. Thank you for giving faithfully to the Glory of God. And now may we learn the lessons that God is teaching us in this COVID-19 season.
Remember to Bring God’s House to Your House.
